That should have been the title of Karen’s first post here, but she hasn’t gotten around to it. So I’m totally stealing it. Well, you should start to see some changes around here. It’s time for something fresh on this page, and we need something that identifies right away who’s posting, like the Fitz’s.
I know we’ve been promising a wedding/honeymoon recap for a while now, but as we get further into the holidays and my focus shifts to finding a job, I’m not sure how likely that is. Suffice it to say that the wedding went great, all family members got along, most behaved, and there was only one incident that doesn’t even warrant mentioning. But since I just did, I’ll fill you in. Some of the place cards for our guests identifying which table they were sitting at didn’t get put out, and one person got upset and left. Oh well.
The honeymoon was a blast. We still have to get some of the photos up soon, along with wedding photos (we’re still waiting on Uncle Rob to send us his). But we had great weather, it only rained a little the first day, and that was mostly 30 minutes during the day, and an hour that night. Other than that, the weather was great. We spent the entire time at the resort, as we woke up each morning, thought about leaving to visit the town or see Cozumel, but decided against it each time because we were having such a great time relaxing on the beach or pool, having drinks brought to us, and sitting in the sun. The food was also amazing. They had 7 restaurants and room service. Could not have asked for a better time.
Ok, I’ll write more when we have some photos. Just wanted to give everyone a quick recap.
Words can’t explain how excited I am that the LJ experiment is over. I never have to sign a comment again!!!!
(Oh, and welcome home. How was your pizza?)
Pizza came out a little doughy, but it was good for a first experiment.
Doesn’t sound too different from my first pizza attempt. I have yet to try again. There’s a reason Boboli is around, you know.
If I bit anyone at your wedding, I sure hope it was Josh’s dad.
Hell-ooo!
Had a great time. When are you coming to Steamboat?
In my defense, it was a tomato tart, not a pizza. And the part of the dough that were cooked were pretty damn good.
I know that this is, like, a month late, but I did want to say that we had a blast at the wedding, and it was so nice to meet you guys. LOL Who does that, really? We also finally found some good barbecue in Charlotte after taking our tablemates\’ reccomendations to go to Mac\’s. If only we had found that sooner, my faith in Carolina BBQ would have been restored!
